​​#TheDurangoMural was born from the collaboration of Mountain Motion Media, a boutique marketing and production agency, and Monica Louise Design, a Durango native illustrator and graphic artist. With the help of the Durango Creates! Grant offered by The City of Durango, #TheDurangoMural came to life celebrating local outdoor activities and landscapes in a vintage-style postcard. The addition of this community art adds a colorful billboard to the up and coming North Main District and is sure to brighten all passer-byers when viewing its cheerful welcome!

As the Project Manager, my role was to identify and connect the building owner with a local artist, work through the concept and apply for the grant. I presented the concept to community boards to gain approval and worked with the artist team on logistics, painting and public communication of the project (plus planning a fun shin-dig to celebrate its unveiling).
